Interesting park within the dessert. Cool to see so much green and trees in the area. Staff was nice and informative. Indoor exhibits are helpful. A few miles of walking paths are out in the preserve. We saw a crane and a GILA MONSTER when we were there!!
Fun but needs a good cleanup. I would not recommend for young children.
Bring your camera, your hat, your water, your sunscreen, and lots of patience when you visit Maricopa County's newest park! This riparian preserve has been around for quite a few years and has an amazing story on how it started. Stop at the visitors center and see the home that was built in the 1860's. There is wildlife everywhere so look around and maybe speak softly to not scare off the birds!
This is a great place to go and experienced the outdoors in a low key, pleasant way. There are walking trails for all levels of fitness with lots of benches. I’ll be back
